Organized by the Foundation for Innovation, Technology and Knowledge Transfer – FITT and CEE Freiraum, second Innovation Café was realized in the German Robotics Center – DKR, July 16, 2018. At the 2nd Innovation Café there were over a hundred guests, over fifteen investors and nine startups. Innovation Café was conceived in a way that start-ups in a short time, of three minutes, as an “elevator talk” model, present their product or idea to investors. In addition to causing great investor attention, startups also had the task of impressing the present guests of the event, more precisely, partners and potential future customers of their product.
Professor Mirsad Hadzikadic talked about advanced technologies, and Edhem Custovic talked about innovations as an economic imperative. Both lecturers left the audience ‘’breathless’’ and once again demonstrated their knowledge and ability to pass on knowledge, experience and emotions. Through their presentations, besides the professional things they have shared with the audience, they tried to motivate young people and students from the audience.
At the 2nd Café for Innovation – nine launches were presented: Gradient, Smart Box, TraceBrace, LASONA, Herba Sens, BUENO, HTS, Smart Ball Extinguisher.
Our goal is to build an effective regional entrepreneurial ecosystem that will guide young startups to the business market. As part of the CEE FREIRAUM project, young starters will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and develop a set of skills that will help them enter the big door of the overseas market.
It is important to encourage young people to make full use of the potential they are rich in and thus to contribute to and strengthen the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following the reactions of visitors, it was concluded that CEE FREIRAUM is on the right path to achieve this.
In September, our award-winning startup in Sarajevo called “HaBeetat” goes to Germany where they will have the opportunity to get to know the startup ecosystem of the country where they will go through the mentoring process, to have conversations with big companies and entrepreneurs in the field of entrepreneurship.
CEE FREIRAUM has also collaborated with the BH Futures Foundation and will work jointly on the quality of youth education, support young and ambitious people in the future, and motivate them to do a lot more on themselves and develop their ideas.
The next Innovation Café will be held in Mostar in September, and we hope for even greater responsiveness of young people, as well as more quality startups.
