The project “Empowering Youth through Robotics” aims to equip young individuals in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina with essential skills and knowledge in robotics, fostering innovation, and promoting cross-cultural exchange

Over the period of 5 months, the participants underwent an intensive robotics training program. The teaching approach included interactive learning with practical exercises, led by an experienced expert in the field of industrial robotics. Through a combination of theoretical lectures and application of the acquired knowledge, the participants developed technical skills and gained confidence in working with KUKA Industrial Robot.

Upon completion of Industrial Robotics training, a closing event titled “World Café but Make it French” was organized to wrap up the whole project, and for participants to share their experience – what they learned, how useful the training was, and what could be improved. We also talked about their next steps and how they see themselves applying these new skills in the future. The feedback from students was highly positive, which confirmed the relevance and effectiveness of the training. Beyond just feedback, the event was also an opportunity to highlight our collaboration with France and the support we received through this project.

FITT has come to its establishment as a result of socio-economic and political needs in Tuzla and Tuzla Canton. In struggle to reconcile political demands and economic ones, FITT has developed several programs and is currently implementing projects with young people and students to raise awareness on the importance of their participation in decision making processes on local, regional and national level, not excluding wider level, which aim at creating possibilities for young people to take part in social and technological innovation that Industry 4.0 is bringing with. To bridge the gap between practice and theory, all important activities are implemented in the Center for Robotics which is the first center of this kind in the region of Western Balkans.
